How is the security in Ignite?
Ignite was
built on top of a very powerful security system.
-
Users of Ignite have a username and a password.
-
Users are assigned to user groups (a user can belong to multiple user groups).
-
Permissions are given to those user groups.
-
If a user leaves their workstation idle, their session will timeout.
There are
over 300 different permissions in Ignite. On the most basic level, there
are permissions on whether or not the user can:
-
View a screen
-
Edit data on that screen
-
Add new data on that screen
-
Delete data from that screen
There are
also settings on whether the user can:
Beyond that,
Ignite has the ability to limit permission on a field-by-field basis.
Thus, you can give only certain users specific access to perform certain tasks.
Audit Trail
Every change made in Ignite is stored in the Audit Trail. You decide who
can and cannot see the Audit Trail. Data in the Audit Trail cannot be
modified or deleted. It is permanent.
So, if you want to see who changed a customer’s K Factor 3 months ago (or even 3
years ago), you can. |
